TAMPA, FL — Publix announced it will open its new-concept GreenWise Market at 555 Channelside Drive in the Water Street mixed-used development on Thursday, Aug. 19. "We look forward to sharing our new-concept GreenWise Market with our Tampa customers," said Publix President Kevin Murphy. "Once they discover the unique products, atmosphere and prepared meals they can eat in the store or take with them as they enjoy the waterfront, they'll see why we chose to go in a new direction with a brand they know and trust." GreenWise Market is a specialty, natural and organic store, featuring items for both the health-conscious and gourmet foodie. A prepared foods area will provide gourmet pizzas and burrito bowls and wraps made with organic meats and cheeses, as well as vegan options. In addition, the store offers several made-in-house specialties, including organic smoked meats, organic sausages and gourmet popcorn. Customers can pick up a glass of wine, local craft beer, locally roasted coffee, tea, kombucha or smoothie to enjoy in the seating area or carry with them while they shop. The new Water Street store is 26,000 square feet. Publix' first GreenWise Market opened in Tallahassee in October 2018.
