Volunteer needed to help disabled lady

Description

Looking for someone to help a very sweet disabled lady, possibly twice a week. Her name is Amy, she has recently moved to Graham (after her mom passed away this past Dec) and lives relatively close to Zak's Deli. Amy was born with Spina Bifida, and because of this birth defect she has never been able to drive herself. As she has progressed in age she now uses a walker to walk around with. The help would simply consist of picking her up, and folding her light weight walker to put into your car and taking her shopping for groceries. Once you park you would have to help get her walker out of the car so she can walk around. You would have to push a grocery cart along next to her so she can put her groceries into the cart, and have some patience because she doesn't walk as fast as you do. She would need help checking out by placing her items onto the counter and then into the basket after they are bagged. She would need help carrying the bags into the house but she can put them away herself. She would also like you to sometimes go out to lunch with or maybe catch a movie if you are up for it. Amy has been house bound living with her mother who was reduced to live in the bed from MS, therefore Amy had to rely on others to do things for her. Now that her mom has passed on, she would like the experience of living again and with your assistance, she can do it. She may also need help once a week with making her bed after the wash. I am her classmate, I run a business and spend a lot of my time working. We are willing to pay for this simple task. For her safety I would like to run a background report on you and I would certainly hope you understand asking a stranger to do this is a bit unnerving. Thank you for reading this add, Amy is quite fun to visit with and she would be a nice friend.
