Discover Caribbean Art and Artistry, Face painting, Afro-Caribbean Dance and Masqueraders & Painting of Caribbean Flags. Caribbean Summer Jams engages a family friendly atmosphere to display the art of Caribbean Culture. Shawn Alleyne our Barbados Graphic Artists will engage and create art on the spot and feature art made by Project D.R.E.A.M. Art by DLS with Dori will create vibrant face paintings and Cassie Posh Events LLC will lead us into various Afro-Caribbean Dance instructions on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 from 5-7PM. "Masked Concepts" with April Romeo will feature her collection of Caribbean Flag Masks and will demonstrate how it's done. Featuring carnival costumes and dancing instructions on the greatest show on earth - the rhythms of the Caribbean Islands on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 from 5-7PM. Miranda Alexander is a social and creative entreprenuer, the Founder/Program Director of UROC (Urban Resources and Opportunities Center) of Philadelphia. A grassroots not for profit umbrella host organization of ManUp in2 Manhood/WakeUp in2 Womanhood Rites of Passage Camps, OURstory Rites of Passage Camp, Mel Dorn Diaspora Tours of Philadelphia, Voices in the Community, and Caribbean Community in Philadelphia.  Caribbean Community in Philadelphia is a 8-part focus programming initiative with Caribbean Health, Caribbean Arts & Culture, Caribbean Education, Caribbean Sports, Immigration, Seniors, Business, Natural Disaster and Climate Change. Some of our programs include: Caribbean Cancer Strong, Caribbean Day, Caribbean Stroytime, Caribbean Edutopia Quiz Competition, World Oceans Day, Caribbean Open Mic Competition, and more...
