DANVERS, MA — Danvers businesses that serve alcohol are advised to expect a spot check visit from police in the next few weeks to ensure compliance with the law against serving underage drinkers.
Laws and regulations related to selling or furnishing an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21 can be found here.
Police said the compliance checks are part of the town's continued efforts to prevent problems related to underage alcohol consumption, curb alcohol abuse and reduce operating under the influence incidents among teenagers.
