WEST HAVEN, CT — A New Haven man was arrested after police said he drove a Jeep Wrangler on the boardwalk in West Haven. Police were notified last week by community members of a Jeep Wrangler driving on the boardwalk with "complete disregard for pedestrian safety," according to officials. "Our Shore Patrol Officers quickly arrived on scene and were able to ascertain the owner/operators identification and apply for an arrest warrant," police wrote in a post on Facebook. Marcus Galberth, 37, was found by New Haven police at his home and taken into custody. He was taken to West Haven where he was charged with reckless driving, breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment. He was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond. "We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the citizens who were able to safely capture photos of this alarming incident," police wrote in a post on Facebook.
