BEVERLY, MA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Beverly, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Beverly Public Schools.
The first day of school for most students in Beverly is Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's most recent guidance, in-person classroom learning, five days a week is planned for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year in all school districts — including Beverly.
Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:
Beverly Public Schools
First Day: Sept. 1 (1-12; virtual 10-12); Sept. 2 (10-12); Sept. 7 (Kindergarten)
Labor Day Break: Sept. 3 - Sept. 6
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24 (early dismissal) - Nov. 28
Winter Break: Dec 24 - Jan. 2
February Vacation: Feb. 21-25
April Vacation: April 18-22
Beverly High Graduation: June 5
Last Day of School: June 17 (if no snow days are used)
Holidays With No School: Yom Kippur (Sept. 16), Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day (Oct. 11), Election Day (Nov. 2), Veterans Day (Nov. 11), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 17), Memorial Day (May 30), Juneteenth Independence (observed June 20; if school is still in session)
