Nassau Police ID Remains Found On Meadowbrook Parkway

UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police have identified the remains that were found near the Meadowbrook State Parkway in July. Police on Monday said the remains belong to 19-year-old Gerson E. Pineda, of Hempstead. The skeletal remains were found July 20 on the western side of the parkway in Uniondale. Police have not yet said how Pineda died. The investigation is still ongoing.
