GREENWICH, CT — Three people, including one juvenile, were arrested and charged with larceny after police said they stole over $1,000 worth of Apple Pencils from the Apple Store located at 356 Greenwich Ave. On July 29 around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the Central Greenwich Business District on a report of a shoplifting involving three people. Officers then saw the shoplifters matching descriptions from the store employees getting into a car nearby. Capt. Mark Zuccerella of the Greenwich Police Department said Trent Dance, 18, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Marcus Ramirez, 37, also of Brooklyn; and a female juvenile were found to be in possession of stolen Apple Pencils, totaling $1,140. Ramirez led officers on a quick foot pursuit before being "taken into custody without incident", according to the arrest report. Ramirez was charged with fourth-degree larceny, fourth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest, police said. Dance faces the same charges, in addition to operating a car without a license, police said. Dance and Ramirez posted their $1,000 bonds, and were released. They both have court dates of Aug. 13 in Stamford, police said. The juvenile was charged with fifth-degree larceny and misdemeanor conspiracy. She was given a court date of Aug. 13 in Bridgeport.
