DARIEN, CT — All town employees and visitors to Darien Town Hall are required to wear a mask, regardless of their coronavirus vaccination status, beginning Monday. According to the town's Facebook page, the decision was made due to Fairfield County now being an "area of substantial transmission" of the coronavirus. This week, Gov. Ned Lamont doubled down on leaving the decision for business patrons to mask up in the hands of local business owners after announcing the daily coronavirus positivity rate for the state climbed above 3 percent over the weekend.
