SUMMIT, NJ — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Summit, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the public schools.
The first day of school in Summit, according to the school calendar, is Aug. 30, which is a Monday.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in some towns.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:
First Day: Aug. 30
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26 (Nov. 24 is a half day)
Winter Break: Dec. 24-31 (Dec. 23 is a half day)
Spring Break: April 11-15
Last Day: June 8 if no snow days are used.
