LONG VALLEY, NJ - The Washington Township School District has asked parents or guardians to voluntarily provide vaccination cards to the district for students 12 and over by Aug. 25, as part of the steps to gear up for the new school year. All parents have also been asked to complete a survey by this Wednesday Aug. 4. Interim Superintendent Laura Morana, in her weekly update to parents this past Friday, July 30, asked this of parents and guardians, as well as provided upcoming COVID-19 vaccination clinic schedules at the Long Valley Pharmacy. "While this is an 'optional step,'" Morana said about families supplying COVID vaccination cards, "we believe that this information will be helpful in addressing any positive cases we may encounter in our schools and how to best proceed with contact tracing, isolation and quarantine requirements that may disrupt the participation of students and staff in in-person school activities." Parents who email in the cards, should send them to the school nurses at their respective schools, by Aug. 25 at: Benedict A. Cucinella School - Ms. Jessica Ewer - [email protected] Farmers Road School - Mrs. Nancy Braithwaite - [email protected] School - Grades PreK-2 - Mrs. Marie Peppas [email protected] and Grades 3-5 Mrs. Alexis Antonov - [email protected] Valley Middle School - Grade 6 Mrs. Nancy Morogiello - [email protected] and Grades 7 and 8 Mrs. Kim Pinto [email protected] Parents who haven't vaccinated students yet and would like to, Morana said, can attend one of the two-shot vaccination clinics planned at the Long Valley Pharmacy. Families will need to set up appointments at: [email protected] or [email protected]. Clinics are: Friday, Aug. 6, with the second shot clinic on Friday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.Friday, Aug. 20, with the second shot clinic on Friday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Survey And Other School Opening Details Morana has asked parents to complete a survey by Wednesday, pertaining to school reopening for buses and before and after school care programs. The direct link to the survey is here.
