Location of Incident: Northern Iredell County. Suspect(s): Curtis Dale Griffin, 28 Years Old                     488 Sain Road                     Statesville, North Carolina 28677     Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: In July of 2020, a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff's Office in regards to a child allegedly having being sexually assaulted. The case was assigned to Detective Sergeant K. Campbell of the Iredell County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit.  The child in this investigation was interviewed at the Iredell County Dove House Children's Advocacy Center.  During the interview the victim disclosed having been sexually assaulted by Curtis Dale Griffin. Based on all of the evidence gathered during the investigation Det. Sgt. K. Campbell was able to charge Griffin with two counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense. During this investigation Det. Sgt. Campbell also discovered evidence showing Curtis Dale Griffin had violated a Pretrial Release Order on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. This Pretrial Release Order was issued as the result of a Domestic Violence Assault charge. The victim of this assault was not the child victim. Curtis Dale Griffin was arrested on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. He appeared before Magistrate H. Callejas who issued a 250,000.00 dollars secure bond for the Two Counts of Felony Statutory Sex Offense, and an additional 15,000.00 dollars secure bond for violating the Domestic Violence Pretrial Release Order for a total secured bond of 265,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.  Curtis Dale Griffin, 28 Years Old 488 Sain Road Statesville, North Carolina 28677  265,000.00 DOLLARS SECURED BOND.     This press release was produced by the Iredell County Government.
