I have a masters in special education/language disabilities, have worked with children for over 30 years who have special needs or have trouble learning and need additional help. I teach children where they are developmentally and teach skills that fill in the educational gaps that exist so they can acquire new skills along the learning continuum. Children who have gotten behind due to COVID will be at a disadvantage when they return to school, which is why it would behoove them to catch up on skills they are missing prior to returning to school.
