The changes proposed would eliminate the time restrictions on construction tools " The following paragraph would be deleted from the code. For more information call your town council person.
No person shall cause, suffer, allow or permit the following acts:(11) Construction or repairing of buildings and incidental areas: any construction,excavation, demolition, alteration or repair which creates a noise disturbance,except between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and except incases of emergency or in the interest of public safety.

The town has added the following to the Town code on their Town properties:
Overflights. Overflights of the parks, beaches, waters or waterways of the Town of Smithtown by ultralight powered flight vehicles at an altitude of less than 500 feet or by manned gliders, kites or other unpowered flight vehicles at any altitude are prohibited.
