Funk Band looking for brass/woodwind players

Pittsburgh PA

Description

We are a 7 piece, Dormont based funk band with a 1 hour setlist of covers and originals just about ready and we are looking for wind section of some sort for recording and live performances. Also are not opposed to some back up singers to bring some extra pizzaz. Any combination of sax/trumpet/trombone/etc... would be perfect. Our current line up consists of 1-2 Guitarists, 1-2 keyboard players (clav/organ/rhodes/synth), bass, 2 drummers/percussionists, and a singer/emcee so we think a little bit of brass and/or woodwinds would really be a nice. We have played songs by or in the style of: The Meters, Vulfpeck, Funkadelic, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, John Mayer, Ice Cube, Snoop Dog, D'Angelo, and more. We are eventually planning to become a primarily original band but for now its a mix of covers and originals. We currently meet once a week for rehearsal and are looking for people interested in meeting either every week with us, or every other week if they prefer (since horn players tend to be... a little quicker at learning than us "rock stars" LOL). We have ideas for horn lines in mind but we also encourage creativity and would to have add your own elements to them. We practice in an (amateur) recording studio capable of recording video and audio with the intention of making youtube content from good takes at rehearsal while simultaneously building a setlist for performances and a video resume to get gigs. We also stream for 30 min to 1 hour a practice to reddit just for fun. I can share examples of the videos and streams for anyone interested. We are also looking for friends to help with: -taking photographs -filming/editing videos -running social media accounts (esp. for a band) -live streaming (we currently do it but someone who has more experience/better equipment would help) -any soloist and/or youtube creator to collab with on a video -songwriting/composing We believe the band is a team and we will share any spoils when the day comes with anyone who sincerely helps us get there, regardless of what instruments they play, if any.
