Caring family located in Carlsbad looking for a right-hand partner to help manage household and care for their twin girls ages 4.5 years old (family has three older boys that are in the house occasionally but care not needed for them regularly). Family is seeking someone who walks into the house every day with a great attitude and a loving, happy disposition. One where the child is ecstatic to see because of her positive energy. One-year commitment ideal. Family has a large sweet yellow lab. MUST BE PRESENT - We are not looking for someone who will be on their cell phone, laptop, or watching tv. If you cannot step away from your technology, this is NOT the role for you. Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri 7am-8/30am, 12:30pm-6:30 or 7pm Tue Thurs 7am-6:30 or 7pm Girls still napping daily 2-4pm (if by some chance you are interested in mornings only 3 days a week (4.5 hours per week) we can split this job into two nannies) Additional hours and bonuses are available. This role will require driving daily for activities and preschool pick up, so a safe, reliable vehicle is required. Pay: $18-20 per hour+ additional benefits such as PTO (during the summer preferred or on a planned school holiday mom a teacher) and paid holidays if they fall on a work day Your key attributes: Calm and gentle - does not overstimulate Joyful personality - always in a good mood Can-do attitude - does not get flustered Great and direct communicator - maintains daily log on how the day went and pertinent details of child’s development Loves being a nanny - and doesn’t view this as a job, but more an opportunity to help mold a child and make a positive impact on their development and the family as a whole Safe, loving, and nurturing Reliable and Punctual Multi-tasks with ease Flexible - must be somewhat flexible with hours Proactive - anticipate needs of the family before being asked Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the child and in-depth knowledge of child development and stages of growth Create a stimulating environment filled with play that is both educational and fun Maintain a routine schedule for the kids Daily trips to park and pool (girls are great swimmers but must be attentive) Reading, singing, art projects Makes suggestions on toys and activities Laundry for girls only Meal prep and cooking for the kids Dishes Light Errands such as grocery shopping Must Haves: CPR & First Aid Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI Non-Smoker 3+ years of nanny experience 3+ years of experience working with toddler/preschool age children Safe car for running errands Be able to provide 3 - 5 supervisory references Healthy and active Child development background ages and stages a plus
