Tree Barber provides tree trimming and removals in North County. We are looking for an experienced Tree Climber to join our team ASAP. Tree Climber Responsibilities & Skills: * Climbing trees using approved climbing equipment according industry standards * Trimming, pruning, shaping trees and shrubs according to industry standards * Operate equipment such as a chipper, stump grinder, and chainsaw, and other various tools in a safe and responsible manner * Ability to tie tree industry knots * Skill to hoist tools and equipment, safely lower branches with ropes, use a block and tackle * Daily inspection of all personal climbing and safety equipment including ropes, saddle, PPE * Utilize all appropriate personal protective equipment * Assists with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties * Learns, understands, and adheres to all safety rules and company safety policies, participates in all safety training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety skills * Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman. Tree Climber Requirements: * Previous work experience as a Tree Climber or similar. * Over 18 and authorized to work in the US - we use eVerify. * Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing. * The ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop. * The ability to transport heavy items. * The ability to follow written and verbal instructions. * The willingness to work during unfavorable weather conditions. * Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
