Compensation: $20/hr in training; $25/hr out of training 2 to 3 hours per day - Monday through Friday GreenThumb Compost is hiring a part-time Driver and Warehouse Worker! GreenThumb Compost LLC is a rapidly growing business that is driven to find sustainable waste management solutions for businesses. We are looking to hire employees who are excited about sustainable practices, who have a strong desire to grow within the company and who don’t mind working hard and getting dirty! Pay for this position starts at a training wage of $20/hour (depending on experience) with an increase in pay after training is complete. Our goal is to get employees who are hitting expectations to $25 per hour as quickly as possible. Job: Collect food waste from businesses with a truck and trailer and then dump it out at compost facility. Hours: Part time, flexible schedule, 2 to 3 hours per day; Mon – Fri Pay: $20/hr in training; $25/hr out of training Responsibilities of this position include: - Driving a box truck - Loading 100 lb. – 400 lb. barrels - Dumping barrels of food waste (which can weigh up to 400lbs.) at the compost facility. - Warehouse upkeep. - Light vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate for this position: – Shows up for work on time. – Is able to problem-solve and navigate challenges. – Doesn’t mind staying late when needed to get the job done. – Is able to communicate effectively with other team members and leaders. – Is comfortable with maps and directions. – Isn’t afraid of hard, dirty, smelly work. Requirements for this position: - Class C drivers license with a clean record. - Fortitude to be around foul odors. - Ability to lift 80 lbs over your head (you will never be asked to do this, but you will need to be able to do it.) - Flexible schedule to pitch in for repairs and maintenance. - Adherence to safety guidelines. - This job requires coming into contact with various kinds of food – so candidates must not have food allergies.
