Barbizon Light of New England, located in Woburn, MA is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the ongoing functions of our Woburn, MA warehouse. Barbizon is an international corporation with a small company atmosphere. Since 1947, we have been a leading supplier of entertainment lighting, rigging, drapery and expendables serving the television, film, theater, educational, and themed environment industries. OVERVIEW: With safety, efficiency and customer service as a priority, the Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for warehouse operations. S/he ensures the safe and effective storage and distribution of goods accurately, on time, and without damage. S/he maintains accurate records of inventory in our inventory database (Sage 100). S/he communicates and collaborates with stakeholders in order to meet objectives. S/he develops and implements short and long-term warehouse planning. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: • Maintain a safe working environment. • Maintain positive, harmonious working relationships with staff, customers, and others. • Maintain efficient warehouse organization and operation. • Work with the Purchasing Manager to ensure inventory optimization. • Manage common carrier and LTL inbound and outbound logistics. • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with appropriate stakeholders. • Generate freight quotes for coworkers. • Receive incoming shipments, match to order, enter inventory. • Pull, pack, and ship orders • Manage backorder fulfillment. • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts. • Conduct periodic inventory physical count. • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: • Attitude excellence – work with others positively and productively at all times. • Detail orientated, organized, self-motivated, self-sufficient, reliable and accountable • Excellent time management & organizational skills. • Know what is possible- under promise, over deliver • Strong MS Office Suite skills. • ERP system experience, Sage 100 preferred. • High school diploma or equivalent is required. College degree a plus. • Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse supervisory role. • Ability to safely lift heavy objects Experience with production practices in the theatre or live performance, television and film industries is a definite plus.
