Part-Time Housing Inspector Needed

The part time Housing Inspector will perform inspections for all Section 8 properties and/or potential properties as identified by Gilson Inspection Services. The incumbent is responsible for performing initial inspections, special inspections, and maintenance checks for repairs of housing, apartments and other residences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects properties for compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, including those of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), Housing Quality Standards (“HQS”) local building codes and zoning ordinances. Section 8 Inspection is not mandatory but is a plus. Gilson Inspection Services will perform Section 8 Inspection Training to the Inspector that is hired. Only 2 to 4 days of inspections are required per month and the days that are scheduled are flexiblw.
