OIL: America has as much oil in the ground as most middle eastern countries. They're pumping it like crazy and we're not so much. If anybody's going to run out of oil, it'll be them first. Natural Gas. America is called the "Saudi Arabia of natural gas" we have more than anyone. And that is awesome. COAL. America has a LOT of coal in the ground, but its not being mined very much. We are second only to China as far as how much coal reserves we have in the ground and again, we're sitting on ours, while China is mining at a fast pace. Switching cars from gasoline over to Natural Gas would be a nice way to go, at least for now. It's a very easy conversion for gasoline engines, a cheap and effective fix for a lot of problems. Vehicles running on natural gas are efficient, clean and powerful, and it only takes 10 minutes to fill them up, vs. an hour to charge electrics and natural gas can easily be made available at every gas station in the US, without building a whole new grid. I truly believe natural gas is a great "interim solution" to our present energy challenges. I also like the idea that other countries are fast depleting their fossil fuels, while we protect our supplies. It's a smart economic move and a strong military strategic plan
