We are Looking for a Hard Working Shop Helper to assist Senior technicians in the assembly and disassembly of Downhole Drilling Motors Primary responsibilities will be to make sure the shop is neat and organized. This includes sweeping, mopping. organizing yard, stocking inventory, palletizing shipments, pressure washing, painting motors, stocking parts, unloading trucks and providing assistance to technicians as needed. Once you have developed an understanding for the operation and proven to be responsible enough to handle these tasks unsupervised, your role will start to shift to being more helpful to the technicians and eventually working on the equipment. The speed at which this occurs will be determined by your work ethic and the initiative you demonstrate. If your ambition level to advance is not there, you will not be entrusted to handle any critical tasks end of story. Qualifications: 1. Mechanical aptitude is essential. 2. Cognitive skills to include the ability to learn, to process thoughts and apply knowledge, to analyze and reason, and to evaluate and make appropriate decisions to help achieve business goals, work with co-workers to solve problems and maintain safe practices. 3. Ability to lift and carry more than 50lbs. 4. Overtime and on call duty required if the company finds necessary. 5. Be able to read and understand maintenance manuals, speak and communicate in English language. Preferred Qualifications 1. Ability to operate torque machine, general maintenance on the torque machine (changing hoses and seals) 2. Ability to read tape measure, micrometers, and vector gauges. 3. Ability to safely operate a fork lift The work is in a shop environment and is labor intensive. Our team is small so punctuality/attendance issues will not be tolerated. Excuse makers need not apply. This could be a great position for someone out of high school or a physically capable person with mechanical aptitude looking to gain experience.
