Portable dance floor rental company seeks employees needed to help move, transport, install, and pick up portable dance floors rented for events, wedding, etc. It's good exercise and fun work because we put high quality floors in some lovely venues and outdoor locations, making all manner of celebrations more fun and encouraging the wholesome joys of dancing by our clients and their guests. After almost two years with very little dance floor business because of the pandemic, dance floors are roaring back very suddenly in August. Work is available this Wednesday August 4, August 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 27th, 28th, and 29th, and possibly other dates as more last minute jobs come in. Please check your calendar and priority will go to those available on the nearest upcoming dates. In normal times, dance floor work is sporadic, usually on weekends, and is not a full time job, by any means. The amount of work typically available is a few hours per week, with some full days at times, usually in December and May. Opportunities will be available to earn time and a half ($27/hr) as an independent lead (with additional qualifications) or for late night work. Perfect for those with a flexible schedule seeking a few hours a week of work while doing other things: stay at home parents, students, those looking to build references for other employment, etc. No experience required. Must be able to: Lift and carefully maneuver dance floor panels weighing up to 50 lbs; Safely push carts weighing up to 750 lbs; Bend and kneel; Follow directions and safety standards; Use simple tools; Arrive at storage area or jobsites reliably and on time; Communicate well and responsively by phone, text, and email; Abide by high standards of integrity and honesty; Be available for work without a regular schedule, sometimes on short notice, and late at night; A plus if you: Can drive a variety of vehicles; Have solid transportation yourself; and Have auto insurance and a clean driving record.
