"Anyone blocking an audit needs to be put under close scrutiny. What ELSE do they have to hide, is what we need to be asking. Not, 'why do you want to audit the last election'. It's simply not a legitimate question. It's like a suspect caught in a dark alley, asking the cops, 'Why do you want me to empty my pockets'. Audit ON." I might be out of the loop. Are we still talking about Arizona? Nobody is objecting to a legit, impartial audit. They are objecting to an unqualified, biased, right wing led audit. The funny thing is that you would, no doubt, be up in arms if Google, or some other company with left wing leanings conducted the audit. But because "Cyber Ninjas" are in your eyes, "the good guys", it's all good, and you expect people who aren't on your side to be all good with it too. The problem is lack in trust in the process. Same reason you want the audit in the first place, remember? I trust the original audits far and above more so than anything that "Cyber Ninjas" comes up with. You feel differently, that's fine. But stop pretending that having something to hide is the only reason to oppose a sketchy audit. No. they have the same exact lack of trust you do. I would argue, more justified too, because the Cyber Ninjas AZ audit is being conducted with a lot less oversight/checks and balances than the original audits. The lack of self awareness is astounding sometimes... There are logical ways people behave the way they do that don't involve massive conspiracies. The thing that kills me is that there are problems with Trumpism that are a non-starter for most Americans. Things like waging culture wars against infectious disease experts. All the pettiness all in the name of "owning the libs." The cult figure worship. Never hold him accountable, just agree, agree agree. Or get called a "RINO" if you don't, and censured if you're in a political position. Gotta kiss that ring! The conservatives could weed out that toxic crap and win elections easily and legitimately, but no, you hang onto those things with white knuckles and complain about "fraud" when the ship goes down. The answer to your problems are so glaringly obvious but you chose to go down the path of trying to delegitimize our elections instead, further digging yourself (and this country) into a hole. If you really wanted a fair, impartial audit to better trust our elections that's one thing, but let's face it, you're not going to trust anything that doesn't agree with your preconceived idea that the election was stolen, so why bother? As someone in an over-regulated industry (via the ATF, state and local governments) I used to call myself a conservative, in the hopes of getting a break from all the red tape, or at least not letting the red tape get too great to cut through. Incrementalism, the same thing NRA used to stand against before it was embezzlement, haha. Trumpisms makes me want to puke. I don't get how he even came close to a second term. My family is full of right leaning centrists and just about all of them supported Biden this election (let's face it, they didn't support Biden, they supported "not Trump"). Do better, conservatives.
