We provide data, statistics, and support to transportation engineers using innovative approaches and industry leading technology. Field Technicians are responsible for setting up various types of survey equipment designed to count vehicles and collect traffic data. We are looking for a dependable, part-time, Field Technician to service projects across the Carolinas. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a part-time schedule that averages 30 hours per week across the year. Depending on project location and duration, overnight stays will be required. You can expect to travel approximately 10% of the time. All work is conducted using a company vehicle. Hotels, meal reimbursements, travel hours, and flights (if required) are all paid for by the company. Our office is located just north of the RDU airport. Compensation as a Field Technician starts at $17.00 an hour with opportunity for increases as skills are developed and quality performance is maintained. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: * Excellent communication skills: verbal and written * Ability to manage small projects and solve problems independently * Desire to work independently, after a training period technicians will be asked to work by themselves by traveling to project sites and setting up equipment independently * Technologically savvy * Good navigational and map reading skills * Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders up to 15 feet, and operate power tools safely * A drivers’ license and a clean driving record * Must be willing to get your hands dirty and perform work outside After reading the descriptions above, if you're interested in applying, please head to our website using the following link to fill out an application.
