Construction company is looking for driver/shop assistant to move equipment and materials to and from jobsites throughout the Chicagoland Metro area and surrounding Suburbs. Prior experience in a construction warehouse environment desired. Responsibilities include: • Early Starts expected and will vary – 5am/6am/7am • Loading and unloading of materials • Checking accuracy and stability of the load • Driving – Chicago Metro - City & Suburbs • Assist in ordering of materials • Assist in tracking of tools and inventory • Various maintenance/cleaning tasks in the shop and building property • Various duties assisting shop superintendent • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs • Must be organized, high energy, with get-it-done attitude Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a drug test and physical. Credit, background, and DMV record will be checked. • Location: SW Burbs/294, I-80, I-57 • Compensation: $14-16/hour DOE full time, overtime hours expected at times.
