Description

Sociedad Latina invites you to to celebrate the grand opening of our newly renovated building at 1530 Tremont Street!  Join us as we kick off Latino Heritage Month and honor the place that we have called home for over 50 years. Over the last fours years, Sociedad Latina purchased our long-time home in Mission Hill, embarked on a capital campaign, celebrated our 50th Anniversary, and completed the renovation to transform our building into a dynamic community hub that celebrates youth leadership and Latino culture, accommodates our growing youth development programs, and serves as a gathering space for Mission Hill residents. We are excited to share our modern, welcoming, and youth-friendly building that benefits and beautifies Boston’s Latino and Mission Hill communities, empowering more of our young people to realize their potential and become true leaders. More details will follow in the coming months! Since 1968, Sociedad Latina works in partnership with youth and families to create the next generation of Latino leaders who are confident, competent, self-sustaining and proud of their cultural heritage. Sociedad Latina is a citywide organization that focuses on supporting the unmet needs of youth and families from Boston’s Latino and Mission Hill/Roxbury communities. Through our Pathways to Success model we pioneer new and innovative solutions to the most pressing issues facing Latino youth today to end the destructive cycles of poverty, health disparities, racism, and lack of educational and professional opportunities in our community. We support positive youth development from age 11-21, creating a community that supports young people, and training all youth to advocate for themselves and their communities.
