In person CPR class. This class yields an AHA certification for those that are NOT healthcare workers. Heartsaver® CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking. This course teaches skills with AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ learning of skills.This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. The mission of the Elk Grove Village Fire Department is to provide our residents with the highest level of fire and life safety protective services. The Department provides 24-hour fire, rescue, and paramedic services from three fire stations located strategically throughout the Village. The Department operates four Advanced Life Support (ALS) Mobile Intensive Care Ambulances, 2 ALS engines, 2 ALS Quints, and 1 ALS Squad staffed by State of Illinois Licensed Paramedics. Last year the Fire Department responded to over five thousand total incidents, of which, approximately 60% were emergency medical responses.
