QC2 Crash Course #3 focuses on microscopy! Class will start with a basic introduction to the parts of the microscope before transitioning to hands-on learning in the lab. Participants will become comfortable using a microscope and will learn how to use a hemocytometer for cell counts. Participants will leave the session ready to start using a microscope in their brewery lab!
QC2 Crash Course is brought to you by the Quality Control Collaboratory, a premier beer QC testing lab located in the University of Southern Maine. Luci Benedict, QC2 founder, and Sam White, QC2 lab coordinator, will be joined by Matt Nelson of Bissell Brothers Brewing for these practical, hands-on classes designed to build the skills needed to start up, or expand, your brewery's QC program.
