Welcome to Be You Disco , an eventing of cacao ceremony, connection games, live music, open mic, and silent disco. Connect, Play, Create. About this event Welcome to Be You Disco: a co-created conscious gathering with the vision of weaving our wellness and creative communities together and creating magic. This experience will feature connection games, cacao ceremony, live music, dance, and play. We will be using silent disco headsets for portions of the evening to immerse ourselves even deeper into the moment. Get ready to experience an evening of centeredness, creativity, connection, and wellbeing. This event is co-created with local musicians and wellness practitioners in our community and is a platform for everyone to share their gifts. We will start the evening with a lightly-guided Cacao Ceremony to open our creative container together. Cacao is a beautiful subtle medicine that has been used for thousands of years and is known to be a wonderful heart opener. The Cacao we will be using is ceremonial grade and comes from our partners at Holy Wow Cacao. We will then be moving into some lightly-guided improvisational and connection activities, followed by some free flow ecstatic dance. This will be followed by live performances by two local musicians including Kev Ohm and TBD. Both of these artists also offer medicine music, raw music from the heart and soul. Later in the evening participants will have the opportunity to share their own creations, whether it be music, poetry, comedy, art, with the community, so please bring an instrument if you'd like to perform. This is a safe space for expression and all forms are welcome. We will have at least three 10-minute slots for Open Mic so make sure to sign up at the check-in that you'd like to perform. At the end we will have a closing circle and some time to just hangout and be you. This space is so special and filled with life. There are plants galore, beautiful modern furniture, and it is overall a very cozy and warm vibe. Grandview Public Market also is home to some great food vendors so feel free to grab a bite before the event. Collaboration We are looking forward to seeing you there.
