Join us for The GBR Course #GetYourExpertOn  Join Dr. Matthew J. Fien and Dr. Israel Puterman for this ground breaking hands-on training course. During this intensive and comprehensive two-day course, you will learn contemporary techniques to perform Guided Bone Regeneration and L-PRF. Training will be done in an interactive lecture and presentation format with hands-on training on surgical models and porcine jaws. Saturday, February 5th, 2022 - 7:30 AM to 5:30PM Sunday, February 6th, 2022 - 8:00AM to 3:00PM Tuition will include a full breakfast, lunch and break drinks/snacks on both days.  We also host a Cocktail Party on Day One - an opportunity to mix and mingle with your fellow attendees, Israel, Matt, and our sponsors.*  A separate RSVP will be provided upon registration.  All attendees receive a comprehensive manual and 16 units of PACE certified continuing education. This course is ideal for all general practioners and specialists. Due to our small class size we are able to teach to all experience levels. This course was designed for dental students, residents, and practicing dentists and specialists.  Prior to course we will require a Questionnaire and Accident & Liability Waiver to be signed and completed by all registered attendees. Fien received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed post graduate training in the specialty of Periodontology at Nova Southeastern University and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Periodontology.  Dr. Fien has completed a number of research projects which have led to his work being published in various peer reviewed dental journals, including the Journal of Periodontology, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry, and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Fien is actively engaged in several clinical research studies in the fields of Periodontics, Implant Dentistry, and Tissue Regeneration. He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. Dr. Israel Puterman, originally from Montreal, Canada, received his DMD from Boston University in 2002.  He then went to Loma Linda University in California, where he received two residency certificates: one in Implant Dentistry and one in Periodontics, as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry.  As part of his dual residency training, he obtained expertise in surgical, prosthetic, and laboratory phases of complex implant cases.  While he uses his prosthetic training to aid referral colleagues with treatment planning, he restricts his practic in the Washington DC area to the surgical field of Implant Dentistry, Periodontics, Bone and Soft Tissue Regeneration, with IV Services.  He is a published author in various journals, including the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and the Journal of Prosthodontics.  He is the recipient of awards by the California Society of Periodontists, the Western Society of Periodontists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has been honored by colleagues as a Best of Washingtonian Periodontist since 2011.
