Capitol Hill Restoration Society Walking Tours - September Event Capitol Hill Restoration Society was founded 60 years ago to help preserve and protect the historic neighborhood’s architectural and residential character. This spring we added a new event to our annual calendar - Tour of Tours, walking tours that highlight the rich history, architecture, and stories that make up the fabric of our community. Join us this September for our second series of guided walking tours on September 11 and 12, 2021. Reservations will be available through Eventbrite beginning in August. If you can't attend this event, follow us on Instagram and on our website Capitol Hill Restoration Society for details to come about our next walking tour event in November. The last tour sold out several days in advance and ticket sales for this event will close on Tuesday, September 7th. So, if you want to go (and we hope you do!) don’t delay in confirming your plans. Tour Highlights: Architecture of Capitol Hill: learn about the rich variety and interplay of style and function in this historic neighborhoodCapitol Hill Alleys: a trip back in time to explore the workaday world of both residential and commercial usesHollywood on the Hill: filming locations on Capitol Hill with Author Mike CanningNotable People of Capitol Hill: sites associated with many of the historically significant people who have made Capitol Hill their homeEvent FAQ: On Wednesday, September 8th, detailed event information and FAQ will be provided by email, along with starting location.Ticket sales are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person. To transfer ticket sales, have them bring your original ticket invoice with them on the day of the event.While we love all dogs big and small, we ask that you don’t bring your pup on the tour with you. These tours run rain or shine! While we don’t anticipate any wet weather, we will reach out in the circumstance of inclement weather that could pose danger to the tour guide or attendees for reschedule dates.We will manage mask mandates or COVID19 restrictions based on the recommendations of the CDC and Mayor Bowser and keep in accordance with any laws in place in DC at the time.
