Description

This is one of the strays I have been feeding for a year. Finally got him to come inside and he's very loving and very playful. Uses the litterbox, got him vaccinated, uses scratching posts. Almost seems he was an indoor cat somewhere else at some point. I can provide vaccination records. He is not yet neutered. I believe he is a Norwegian Forest Cat. The problem is I have 2 other cats, one adopted, and the other a stray I picked up at my last residence. Both cats get along great and are very mild. The new cat, however, likes to attack my cats sometimes. Sometimes he's nice, but since he started staying inside 80% of the time, the attacks are frequent and my cats now hide under furniture to avoid him and started urinating around the house in protest. I've tried for months but he just keeps doing it. I guess he's asserting dominance or thinks he's playing. But it's reduced my cats quality of life. I can no longer provide for him except outside. His coat is very thick so he gets really hot. I feel he'd be best matched in a home with no other cats with the occasional opportunity to go outside. Preferably no young kids under 8 because he gets playful and doesn't understand to retract his claws all the time. He is playful! He loves balls and toys and small plastic cups I can provide some of the ones he likes. He's gotten much better at playing nicely with humans but still needs some training. He's a cuddler in the bed and sleeps at the end of the bed at night. Once he feels comfy with people, he doesn't mind being picked up and carried around for short bursts. We call him Floofy and he comes when called, even if across the yard, he'll come running. thanks for reading.
