Description

Students will execute their own small watercolor painting, while being introduced to the fundamental techniques of the medium. The instructor will provide easy-to-understand demonstrations mixed with one-on-one coaching as students paint. All art supplies will be on loan to students for use during class. Students should dress comfortably and may want to bring a smock to wear. A Signature Member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society, Deborah Ponder is known for the luminous colors, strong composition, and interplay of light and shadow that bring vitality to her work. Her paintings hang in private collections throughout the country, have been juried into regional and national exhibitions, and have been published internationally. Deborah is an enthusiastic workshop instructor, using an informal approach to make the techniques and principles of watercolor painting easily accessible to students of all levels.
