Operation Resiliency offers a unique opportunity for the unit that experiences the battle together, experiences healing together. Operation RESILIENCY is a suicide intervention program that combines the resources and tools offered by The Independence Fund, OMHSP, and the Department of Veterans Affairs to help improve resiliency skills and combat Veteran suicide. The goals of Operation RESILIENCY consist of the following: To reduce the incidence of suicide by bringing together units with a high incidence of combat trauma and post war suicidality.Reconnect or connect veterans with other members of their unit to strengthen bonds.Encourage togetherness. Teach resiliency skills. Improve the overall quality of the life for our Veterans and their families through Resiliency Retreats.Improve Veterans’ health and wellbeing and enhance Veteran access to health services.
