Description

Learn the basics of creating a personal brand that reflects the market for your writing. In this workshop, writers will learn how to create a personal brand, write a personal statement that reflects the market need for their art, and develop an actionable plan to sell their work, whether they will self-publish or work with a major publisher. This workshop is scheduled to take place in person, but there will also be options to participate virtually. About the instructor: Susette Brooks is an essayist with an MFA in Nonfiction from Goucher College. When Susette isn’t writing, she supports the work of other storytellers. She is the Director of Multicultural Marketing for Penguin Publishing Group. Susette also leads a team of soldier-journalists in the New Jersey Army National Guard, and she serves as a board member for Philadelphia Stories. With a front door on historic Cooper Street, the Rutgers-Camden Writers House provides a welcoming space for the campus and community to celebrate writing across diverse disciplines, communities, and media.
