Making for a great hidden history tour: of hanging, canings, bombings, the riots of 1835, 1857, 2020 and 2021, and assorted and sordid acts of revenge! When: Saturday, August 21, 4 pm What: A walking tour of the Capitol’s ground that covers two centuries of misdeeds, and some accomplishments as well. We'll focus in particular on the British burning of the Capitol during the War of 1812, on August 24, 1814.
