CONNECTING THE DOTS - Advocating for Thriving Neighborhoods!
Thank you for registering! YOU are in for a treat this year!
This year’s event will start with a Community Forum from 10 AM - 12 PM, where we will have subject matter experts discuss the social problems in our community (healthcare/housing disparities, poverty, food deserts, etc.) in conjunction with solutions to help residents understand how to advocate for themselves and the importance of building relationships with elected officials to help form solutions that increase sustainability and self-sufficiency in our neighborhoods.
From here we will have lunch and a keynote speaker: 12:00 - 12:30 PM.
Following this, we will go into our Candidate Rally from 12:30 - 4:00 PM, where you will hear briefly from candidates running for office in Montgomery County.
There will be a disc jockey, so come prepared to ROCK with us by getting the education you need to advocate for yourself and/or those who are unable to do so and get to know who's running for office so you can vote knowledgeably on Tuesday, November 2nd!
We are asking for a small donation to help cover the costs for this event. Your lunch is included in your donation.
Most importantly, considering the increase in recent COVID19 cases, face masks are required. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and will follow social distancing guidelines.
Thank you!
