Yoga Class on the grounds at Loring Greenough House Yoga in the Garden: This monthly yoga series is suitable for All Levels and welcomes community members to gather and enjoy a gentle and restorative yoga practice outdoors. Participants should expect to move through both standing, seated and supine yoga postures that may involve occasional balancing on hands and knees while on their yoga mat.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, class attendees must wear a mask and are required to adhere to social distancing guidelines which specify remaining no less than six feet apart from others. This Event is part of our Get Movin' on The Lawn series sponsored by The Muncey Group This class is scheduled to occur on June 16, July 21, August 18 and September 15. In the event this class is canceled due to poor weather, registrants will be notified by email. About our instructor: Marlene Boyette, a four year resident of Jamaica Plain, is The Advent School ‘s full time Yoga and Mindfulness teacher, beginning her personal yoga journey in 2003, becoming certified to teach children’s yoga in 2013 and obtained her Trauma Informed 200 E-RYT after training with 4 Corners Yoga + Wellness in Dorchester, in 2016. As community member and activist at heart, Marlene has founded Leela Yoga & Wellness and co-found of Peace In Boston and Black + Blonde, two initiatives focused on bringing yoga to underserved communities and prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion within Boston area wellness spaces. Marlene has collaborated with various agencies, organizations and programs such as The Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Public Library, The ICA, The Boston Children’s Museum, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Yoga Reaches Out, Breathe for Change, and is dedicated to using yoga, meditation and overall wellness as catalysts for supporting, building and healing communities.
