I am looking for an assistant(s) to help me with my dog grooming business. No experience necessary but of course is a plus. I’m looking for someone who is self motivated, can listen and follow directions well, friendly towards co workers, dogs and clients, and who has a drive for success. This is a fast pace job, one you wont be staring at the clock waiting for the time to pass, which i find is a plus. If your someone who doesn’t want to deal with the public all day long this is a great trade, where mostly your interacting with co workers and animals. It is very physical work and not for the squeamish (cleaning up dog accidents, dealing with pests on dogs, dog hair, etc) Must have a love for animals and a patient kind nature towards them. Through the hard work it is a very fun and rewarding job. For the right fit training in grooming is a definite possibility. This can be a very lucrative trade to learn, and is recession friendly as it is always in need. Duties include but not limited to: -bathing, drying, and brushing out dogs -prepping dogs for haircuts -helping check dogs in and out of shop -cleaning facility-laundry, kennels, vacuuming, shop maintenance etc -scheduling appointments Requirements: -reliable -punctual -self motivated -patient -be able to lift 50 lbs Days of work are Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday’s with weekends off. Usually start around 9:00am and closing varies by the day. Occasional tips are included (any dogs you finish you will receive tips or if its a particularly busy day) and possibility of compensation increase is based on performance.
