Please join us for an evening of live music with Devin Wessels & Mail Order Cowboy. Eclecticism is the name of the game when it comes to Mail Order Cowboy's influences. Devin Wessels' keyboard playing pulls riffs from the dusty grooves of 70's funk records. Peter Tearse's saxophone solos transport you to a smoke-filled jazz club. Jeremy Benshish's drum grooves would be equally at home at a New York block party or a Nashville honky tonk. The group joins in three-part harmony with the aim to take you somewhere new. It's where Elton John meets James Brown. It's where Prince meets Paul Simon. It's where Marvin Gaye meets Merle Haggard. It's the ultimate road-trip playlist condensed into a single song. It's Mail Order Cowboy. For just $20 per person, guests can bring their chairs, blankets, coolers (BYOB) & snacks to the historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg and enjoy some Friday night music on the lawn. Attendees are encouraged to arrive between 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm, explore the grounds, safely socialize, set up their chairs, enjoy a beverage(BYOB,) get comfortable and ready to experience live music. Mail Order Cowboy will play from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. It's going to be a funky way to end the week!   The Schweikher House Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is listed on both the National Register of Historic Places and the American Institute of Architect’s list of 200 Great Places in Illinois. The Trust was incorporated in 2009 to help oversee Modernist architect Paul Schweikher’s 1938 home & studio. Supporting events hosted by the Trust will help to further develop programs, tours, and outreach opportunities that promote and educate the public about the House and Studio and its former residents.  Tax Identification Number 27-1367307
