Join us at the museum to look, learn, create, and collaborate! Age: 6–12 years old with a favorite grown-up This’ll have you in stitches! Learn the basics of pattern making, fabric piecing, and hand sewing while working together to sew an abstract masterpiece inspired by colorful Carter artworks. Family Workshops are a quarterly program designed for children 6 to 12 years old and their families. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art was established through the generosity of Amon G. Carter Sr. (1879–1955) to house his collection of paintings and sculpture by Frederic Remington and Charles M. Russell; to collect, preserve, and exhibit the finest examples of American art; and to serve an educational role through exhibitions, publications, and programs devoted to the study of American art. Now in its sixth decade of operation, the Amon Carter Museum of American Art offers a diverse array of exhibitions, publications, and programs that connect visitors to masterworks of American art.
