Description

Learn how DNA is used to solve crimes! Megan Ashton, a forensic DNA analyst at the Montana State Crime Lab, will share with older children and teens about her work in forensic science and how DNA is used to link criminals to their crimes. The UM Living Lab engages children and families in science through participation in research studies, science activities, and educational events in order to inspire the next generation in science. Located in the new Missoula Public Library, the UM Living Lab was created through a partnership between the City of Missoula, University of Montana, and the Missoula Public Library, and funded through a Science Education Partnership Award through the National Institutes of Health.
