UM Living Lab welcomes Corinne Bassin from the Schmidt Ocean Institute for a dive into global deep ocean currents. Corinne Bassin, data platform manager at the Schmidt Ocean Institute, will share about the organization’s ocean explorations aboard the research vessel Falkor and engage older children and teens in a hands-on activity on deep ocean currents. The UM Living Lab engages children and families in science through participation in research studies, science activities, and educational events in order to inspire the next generation in science. Located in the new Missoula Public Library, the UM Living Lab was created through a partnership between the City of Missoula, University of Montana, and the Missoula Public Library, and funded through a Science Education Partnership Award through the National Institutes of Health.
