Description
This workshop is for you if you are interested in learning yoga, as a beginner, or want to further grow your practice! Habitual Roots is offering a monthly workshop to learn the basics of yoga! It will be a very slow paced yoga flow, with ample teaching opportunities to go in depth on alignment and posture names. Each workshop will go through the basics of what you would experience in a regular yoga class WITH a special focus. There will be multiple teachers to support a safe environment to learn and play. Questions will be welcome and encouraged. Please plan to stay for 1.5 hours for a guided experience, with an additional 30 minutes after class for playtime. During this built in time, we can have 'supervised' play or time to connect. This workshop is designed for those new to yoga, as well as more experienced yoga practitioners that are open to explore more deeply into the ROOTS of their yoga practice. This series will provide the fundamentals necessary to understand the language, breathwork, and postures that are guided in a typical yoga sequence. At the end of each class, you will have a basic understanding of the sequencing expected in a typical flow of a yoga class. In addition to providing vocabulary, key cues, and beneficial resources to feel comfortable in a yoga class, Habitual Roots also offers integration pointers to make yoga an accessible habit for a more mindful life! This yoga workshop is for you if you have been looking for a form of exercise that will leave you feeling fulfilled instead of drained, if you have the slightest interest in yoga, if you have never gone to a yoga class, if you have gone to a yoga class and have been confused on "if you're doing it right", if you have been practicing for one year, if you have been practicing for 20+ years, if you are looking to connect bigger and deeper, if you want to explore breath techniques, if you are looking for affordable yoga options, if you want to support Habitual Roots, and everything in between! The focus areas are as follows: Saturday, June 26th : Breath Saturday July 31st: Hip Openers Saturday August 28th: Crow Pose There will be a minimum donation of $11.11 to make this accessible to the majority.
