ATTEND THE WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY OPEN HOUSE! World Humanitarian Day is a day dedicated to humanitarians worldwide. The day aims to honor humanitarian workers who dedicate their lives to helping others. Attend this event to hear from some of the people in our city who are proving that "Something CAN be done about it ". Be inspired by ways you can help with everyday disasters and learn about the Scientology Volunteer Ministers program which makes it possible for anyone to become a humanitarian. Hosted by the Church of Scientology of Kansas City. In addition to traveling to wherever disaster strikes, Volunteer Ministers work with public servants in their own communities, helping to improve conditions right at home. Volunteer Ministers have also trained and partnered with over 1,000 different groups, organizations and agencies around the world, including the Red Cross, National Guard, Army Cadets, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, Rotary Clubs, civil defense and disaster management agencies, YMCAs, police and fire departments of dozens of cities and towns and hundreds more national and regional groups and organizations.
