The Zeta Kappa Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Incorpated is hosting a movie screening in efforts for raising funds for our scholarship programs.
The Inaugural for Screens for Scholars will feature "Respect" starring Academy Award®-winner Jennifer Hudson (2007, Best Supporting Actress, "Dreamgirls") -- handpicked by Franklin -- headlines an all-star cast that includes Oscar®-winner Forest Whitaker (2007, Best Actor, "The Last King of Scotland"), Mary J. Blige, Marlon Wayans and four-time Emmy®-nominee Tituss Burgess.
"Respect" is the remarkable true story of legendary music star Aretha Franklin’s journey to find her voice in the midst of the turbulent social and political landscape of 1960s America. This movie follow the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, Respect is the remarkable true story of Franklin’s journey to find her voice.

Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is the first African American greek-lettered business and professional sorority founded by Lola Mercedes Parker in 1929. The Zeta Kappa Chapter was chartered in Phoenix, Arizona on December 6, 2020.
