Description
If you opened this up, thanks.
I don't care if I never play a gig in a bar again!
Here's the plan: an established band of 4+ years has matured, narrowed it's focus, and wants to play the Blues.
Personnel: singing Blues Harp (retired), singing Blues Drummer (semi-retired), singing Blues bass (works F/T)
And YOU, a skilled (hopefully gig experienced) guitarist that can play rhythm and lead in a stripped down band.
The three of us are blues guys in temperament. We don't play strictly blues songs, but we play in a blues style. Generally, this really means quieter volume and softer attitude. It suits us. and most smaller venues.
We also thrive on fairness. Everyone should have ownership of a fair share of the set list and/or lead vocals. We will determine how much time we need to fill for a gig, and we each will control one fourth of that plan to facilitate keeping everyone involved and happy.
We like playing out, we like getting paid, but you can't pay me enough to play if it isn't fun. If it is a fun gig for folks that appreciate good live blues, then any $$ is just a bonus. We like day gigs (no more 9-midnight!), outside if possible (no more dark holes that smell of stale wine or worse), casual (we don't wear ties except at weddings and funerals), we want to make music and have fun.
(Note: objective is to get one regularly monthly spot that pays well so we can afford a few less lucrative gigs.)
We are looking for a very specific guy:
OLD
TALENTED
AVAILABLE
LOVES THE BLUES
If this is you, please reply and let's get together.
