KTQA-LP seeks volunteers of all sorts to create community radio! Meet the current crew this Thursday, Aug 5 at Black Fleet Brewing at 7pm. This nonprofit community radio station based in the heart of Hilltop, invites current and future listeners, artists, musicians, volunteers, techies, partners, underwriters, and more to meet the creators and currents volunteer stewards of the organization! A reprise of our Feb 2020 community engagement event, the evening will feature opportunities to pitch a show, communicate what you'd like to hear on noncommercial, non-corporate local radio, record a station ID on site, get to know our growing cadre of volunteers, discuss underwriting, and socialize at one of Tacoma's breweries! This event welcomes community members of all ages, and while the brewery is fully open regardless of vaccination status in accordance with WA State reopening guidelines, anyone who is not fully vaccinated is strongly encouraged to maintain distance and protect yourself and others by using a mask. The large bay door is expected to be open, providing lots of air exchange and airflow. And as a newly recognized not for profit organization, we happily accept one-time or recurring tax-deductible donations!
