KTQA-LP, the nonprofit community radio station based in the heart of Hilltop, invites current and future listeners, artists, musicians, volunteers, techies, partners, underwriters, and more to meet the creators and currents volunteer stewards of the organization! The evening will feature opportunities to pitch a show, communicate what you'd like to hear on noncommercial, non-corporate local radio, record a station ID on site, get to know our growing cadre of volunteers, discuss underwriting, and socialize at one of Tacoma's breweries! This event welcomes community members of all ages, and while the brewery is fully open regardless of vaccination status in accordance with WA State reopening guidelines, anyone who is not fully vaccinated is strongly encouraged to maintain distance and protect yourself and others by using a mask. The large bay door is expected to be open, providing lots of air exchange and airflow. Those unable to meet in person are always welcome to go to ktqa.org, email info at ktqa dot org, call/text , or hit us up on social media to introduce yourself or ask question! And as a newly recognized not for profit organization, we happily accept one-time or recurring tax-deductible donations! All funds raised support operations, maintenance, and expansion--the organization is staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.
